SCHOOL WARDENS / SCHOOL CHILDREN
Adult school wardens are charged with the task of providing safe road crossing facilities for children outside or near schools. For this purpose STOP the warden, wearing a white coat and carrying a special sign, is empowered to stop traffic.
When the Warden's STOP sign is raised, (as illustrated), motorists must stop and remain stopped until the school children have crossed the road and the sign is lowered.
