Warning signs are upright signs which are yellow in colour and diamond shaped. The yellow diamond is surrounded by a black border and a black symbol to indicate the nature of the hazard ahead as shown on the diamond. Some of the most commonly encountered warning signs are illustrated.

Warning Signs

When you see a warning sign on the road you should always take special care. Failure to do so may well lead to an accident involving, in many cases, not only yourself but also the passengers in your own car or in another. Further examples of warning signs are included in the Appendix.
