       WINDSCREENS

Where a windscreen is fitted to a vehicle, it must be of laminated glass if the vehicle was first registered either inside or outside the State on or after 1st January, 1986.

It is strongly recommended that damaged windscreens on older vehicles should be replaced with laminated glass.
